Very rare Monza Limited Edition of 1911 watches - perfect condition - pre-owner - full set - TAG Heuer warranty -
The Monza collection was first devised in 1975 to mark the successful relationship between Heuer and Ferrari. The watch’s design came from a 1930s cushion-shaped piece (not called Monza), which Heuer reworked and named after the legendary Monza race track in Italy where Ferrari driver Nikki Lauda took the points that won him the title that year.
The new Monza Automatic Chronograph Calibre 36 picks up the thread and looks much like that same 1930s original. The vintage design cues are everywhere. From the oversized Arabic numerals to the ‘old rhodium’ plated blued steel hands, the designers have taken the best of the golden age of Heuer and mixed it with the new.
On the dial, the word Monza sits above the old Heuer logo, a charming quirk TAG Heuer are using to great effect on a number of watches these days. And inside beats the Calibre 36 automatic chronograph movement, one of the fastest mechanical movements in the industry, capable of measuring time to 1/10th of a second. -
